Owen just got back from his first visit to Michigan on his own.
Levi was wanting his photo taken last night. It was funny and the first time he’s asked.
Rachel found this farm 4 minutes away to pick berries and flowers. The prices weren’t bad, $10 to fill the vase and the raspberries only cost about $5.50. Levi liked walking through the rows of raspberries and bringing back half of one he’d smush to put in the bucket.
Rachel’s parents are visiting Iowa for the first time since we moved here. Her dad fixed two of my doors that wouldn’t shut properly and then helped me replace a part in the toilet so I didn’t have to pay $500 to the plumber. Today we went to a car show in Panora.

Grandma
I lost my Grandma this past week. She had Alzheimer’s and it’s not completely shocking, but also thought I’d have more t...My parents watched the boys so Rachel and I could go to Amana colonies for an early birthday day trip.
Went to see fireworks at a truck stop.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Levi.
The last time I waited in line was when the Nintendo GameCube came out. Excited for my son to get tomorrow.
Summer has begun around here.
Enjoy being back in Iowa. I needed to go to the store for some groceries, but didn’t want to drive so I called my Dad and he was at my house in five minutes.
Clifford’s been loving the brew house. Since it’s an open concept, he isn’t stuck in the kitchen like the last place.
Took Owen and Winnie to see the new Lilo and Stitch movie the other day.
My Dad flew to Detroit this morning to drive with me and the animals for our move to Iowa.
At this point in the drive, Clifford was thinking “are we there yet ?”
The movers are loading everything up today. This statue is headed back to Iowa to stand watch on the new house.
Coffee equipment got packed for the move, so I slept through my alarm, but still woke up early to get to a coffee shop this morning.
Moving starts today.

We’re getting ready to pack clothes in our suitcase before the movers arrive tomorrow. Our cats look is like you’ve got to be kidding me, why are the suitcases out?
His & Hers
I thought I was just taking Levi out to the front to ride on his car, but slowly he led me about a mile to our local park (all on his own). He went down the slide, climbed the big ladder on his own, and played hide and seek.
Levi just woke up from a nap and is ready to play.
My last Sunday being a Michigander, I’m going to miss having woods for a backyard.
